Top minnesota venues

To me, the venue is the most important part of your vision for your wedding day. It truly sets the tone of your design and makes it feel like reality – let alone give you a wedding date! As a coordinator, I wanted to put together a list of my favorite three Minnesota venues based on my experiences.

1. Northern Pacific Center, Brainerd, MN (pc: Dave Puente)

Based up north in the cabin central of Minnesota, The Northern Pacific Center is the warehouse wedding of your dreams. This venue is a historic railroad district and is by far the largest venue I have worked at.

Ceremony: There are several options for the ceremony from outside, in an open warehouse, and an intimate all-white brick space called Luminary.

Reception Space: Blacksmith Main, is a beautiful open warehouse filled with the warmth of chandeliers and the moodiness of brick. The space is so large accommodating a large guest count!

The things that make this space unique are the sheer space you have to spread out for pictures on the property. From their hidden “Love you always” mural to the smokestacks. The property has its own in-house catering providing a top-notch meal with an inclusive appetizer and late-night snack options to make planning easy.

2. Ivory North, Mora, MN (pc: Rachel Leigh Photo)

This family-owned venue is a farmhouse property turned into a white barn wonderland. I may be biased since the owners photographed my own wedding but what April and Blake created is a true gem hidden on a dirt road. Ceremony: They offer two beautiful ceremony options including outside surrounded by a farm field or inside their white barn. Reception: The reception space is a pavilion located right next to the barn. My favorite part of this space is the lounge area they have right as you walk in! This space is the coziest and feels like you are immersed outside with all the amenities of a great reception space. Following dinner, guests are invited to the barn for your first dances. This venue has so many intentional spots for your guests to gather and make themselves at home. They are continually adding to the property with their 2021 build of a fantastic first-look spot. I’m excited to see what they continue to add to this property.

3. Pinewood, Cambridge, MN (pc: Lahzeh Photography)

Pinewood is a modern Minnesota venue of anyone’s dreams only 40 minutes from the Twin Cities. Built by a former wedding photographer, this venue was built with all guests, wedding parties, and vendors in mind. Ceremony: Always set for two spaces, this year-round venue is stunning inside and out. Outside you step around the corner and find yourself surrounded by the forest of perfectly-lined trees nestled within a venue. Inside they provide a white-on-white ceremony space hidden upstairs allowing you to transform it into the space of your dreams. Reception: The reception space has an amazing flow from cocktail hour to dinner. The best part is the sliding glass doors that open right onto the outdoor ceremony space.

Pinewood is committed to keeping your wedding planning experience stress-free and all-inclusive. You get the whole property for the day, including their gorgeous bridal suite!

With all three of these venues, the staff at each is truly why they make my list! All provide an incredible experience and think of everything to make your day perfect!
